“I just wanted to share this with you.
On Sunday morning, my factory fire alarm was triggered. Although it was ultimately a false alarm (thank goodness), the fire department was dispatched. When I was contacted by the alarm company, I used my app to view the premises. From that I could see the alarm [was] flashing in the lunchroom but nothing appeared to be on fire in the factory. This significantly reduced my stress level .
I began driving to the factory (which is about 20 minutes from my home) and halfway there I stopped to view that premises through my app again. This time I could see the fire department had mobilized. Two firefighters were waiting at my office entrance, so I then spoke to them through the two-way microphone on my external camera. Although the firefighters had silenced the fire alarm when they entered the office area, they set off my burglar alarm. Through the two-way mic I was able to give them my pass code and they were able to turn off the burglar alarm. They then packed up and went on their way.”
