Unified Communications in 2014
One of the key changes in the telecommunications field is the role played by Unified communications. UC enables the integration of real time communication services such as instant messaging with non-real time communication services such as unified messaging. Unified Communications is largely undefined and not sold as a package. It is more a amalgamation of various VoIP services and integration with backed computer applications. In spite of this loose binding, Unified Communications has come a long way with vendors vying with each other to offer more features.
